2022 has been a challenging year to say the least — on so many levels, the importance of which goes beyond Blockchain, Crypto and Unibright.
But also within the Unibright ecosystem, a lot happened in 2022 that we can look back on with pride in our recap and look forward to in our outlook on 2023.

Blockchain and Crypto in general have had to experience a lot of negativity in recent months. Fraud and alleged criminal activities have harmed many people, and negatively affected the reputation, trust and acceptance of the entire Crypto and Blockchain scene.

Unfortunately, we also had to experience similar things within the Unibright ecosystem, which harmed us, our products, and our customers, at least in the short term, and delayed further development. We have learned appropriate lessons and are sure to be stronger than before in the medium and long term. For example, we have significantly tightened up the selection process and due diligence of potential partners.

Due to these and similar events, we had decided to reduce external communication somewhat. This gave us the opportunity to focus on strengthening ourselves and our products around the Unibright token UBT.

2022 recap

1In Q1 2022, we brought Baseledger Mainnet live as announced. We introduced our open source proxy integration solution for Baseledger and self-provisioned 100,000 UBT for an initial proxy staking pool.

2In Q2 2022, we introduced innovations in Unibright Freequity around DeFi and NFTs. We co-presented a study with the European Investment Fund on the “Usage of the Baseline Pattern at the European Investment Fund” and announced more advanced and supporting products and solutions around Baseledger in an initial assessment of Baseledger Live operations.

3In Q3 2022, we technically supported the successful initial mint of the NFT-/AI music related Metalverse with our smart contract development and fully focused on the development of Unibright ONE, the service-oriented synchronization platform that makes the baseline idea instantly usable for enterprises: Multichain- and multiparty synchronization under Zero Knowledge on Enterprise level.

4 In Q4 2022, we finally announced and started rolling out Unibright ONE officially, introducing motivation and features, presenting first screenshots and explaining the possible use of Unibright ONE for customers and platforms with example use-cases.

2023 outlook

In 2023, it will still be the case that as an innovative provider in the blockchain sector, you will not only have to explain your own products and underlying technology, but will also have to fight against a lot of noise in the space and, in some cases, fraudulent or criminal machinations and the negative media about it.

We will therefore focus even more on the basic principles of our work over the last 20 years. We will create and market customer-oriented, innovative products and solutions around UBT, independent of market movements and actions by other companies, competitors (if any?) and consortia. Focusing on our own strengths and capabilities has proven successful in the past and staying the course will pay off long-term for sure.

This is what we work for at Unibright and we are happy and proud to be able to do this with a great community of supporters around UBT. Let’s buidl 2023!
