Unibright’s 2023 Recap and 2024 Outlook
As we approach the end of 2023, it’s time to reflect on the incredible journey that has unfolded for Unibright in 2023 and since its inception in 2018. This year has been a testament to our commitment to simplifying blockchain adoption for enterprises and driving innovation in the decentralized space. Join us as we recount the milestones, share insights, and cast a vision for the transformative year that lies ahead!
We are pleased to see a huge demand for Unibright ONE, with most of the customers using our fiat gateway for payment purposes. We are a bit surprised to see the majority of users using fiat money and well-known (but rather expensive and ill-suited) blockchains as notarization targets. We expected to see more usage of Baseledger, especially for enterprise usage. Although it is the “cheapest” to use and the one best-suited in our experience, it seems that enterprise at the moment prefer known blockchains like Ethereum or even Bitcoin for notarizing. Unibright ONE was built exactly that way (to be blockchain agnostic and support various notarization targets), but of course we aim to work on making the advantages of Baseledger clearer towards the enterprise audience in 2024.
According to Forbes, the blockchain industry itself continues to build and innovate, and on-chain activity shows that there’s been no reduction in developer activity. In fact, a recent Forbes article highlights that the blockchain industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 67.3% from 2021 to 2028. This growth is driven by the adoption of blockchain technology in various industries, including supply chain, digital identity, and financial services.
2023 recap
1 In Q1 2023, we launched Unibright ONE, with zero down-time and an ever growing customer base since then. Our service-oriented platform for Enterprise-Grade Multichain- and Multiparty synchronization under Zero Knowledge followed our former developments of the Unibright Framework and Freequity. Unibright ONE is another proof of our commitment to simplicity and scalability: Building on top of Baseledger, our blockchain infrastructure, Unibright ONE has empowered enterprises to seamlessly integrate blockchain technology into their operations. Its versatility and user-friendly design have laid the groundwork for a new era of efficiency and transparency.
2 In Q2 2023, we worked on robust liquidity for UBT, as a desired feature for widespread enterprise usage of all UBT-powered offerings. Decentralizing UBT, launching pools and initiating further talks with exchanges (without paying unreasonable amounts of money) is all part of that strategy, which will greatly pay out in the future.
3 In Q3 2023, we gathered first customer reactions after some months of productive work inside Unibright ONE. In our pursuit of continuous improvement, we thoughtfully grouped and prioritized additional technical, business-related and content-related features, and built a development plan for a version 2 with added features.
4 In Q4 2023, we focused mainly on development on both technical level (buidling the next Version of Unibright ONE) and business level, where our main focus is and was to embed Unibright’s offering into a consulting focused setup, that covers all parts of new tech and integration, even those where Blockchain would serve as an improvement and not as the initial request. We will go into details in the following outlook.
2024 outlook
Unibright is here and will remain!
Nearly 6 years after our launch, we are very proud that we are still here, with all co-founders still on board. We are proven to be productive and profitable, all our actions and products have shown to be fully legally compliant and 100% scam free. Our setup of an agile team that can be scaled according to the requirements keeps us well funded for the years to come.
