Unibright 2025 Recap and 2026 Outlook
As we approach the end of 2025, it’s time to look back — and look forward. That’s what transformation is about — and 2025 has been a year of true transformation for Unibright!
Recap of 2025
2025 was all about completing something fundamental: the full integration of Unibright into SPO — not only as a legal step, but as a strategic transformation. 2026 will be about execution — applying what we have built in real, revenue-relevant, execution-critical environments.
With this completed transition and new stakeholders joining our company and journey at management level, we can build on top of the infrastructure we’ve been building over the last years: from the Unibright Framework over Freequity, Baseline and Baseledger to Unibright One.
The integration of Unibright into SPO not only covered the IP and software, but also brands, patents, network, and the stewardship of UBT — positioning it as a utility-driven component embedded in execution-based, enterprise-grade workflows.
Outlook to 2026 and beyond
In 2026 the main developments will reach into areas where AI, digital content, licensing, and execution-critical workflows intersect.
Gartner (the publisher of the yearly “hype cycle” forecast on emerging technologies) is giving the following statement about Digital Provenance:
As organizations rely more on third-party software, open-source code, and AI-generated content, verifying digital provenance has become essential. Digital provenance refers to the ability to verify the origin, ownership, and integrity of software, data, media, and processes. New tools such as software bills of materials (SBoM), attestation databases, and digital watermarking offer organizations the means to validate and track digital assets across the supply chain. Gartner predicts that by 2029, those who failed to adequately invest in digital provenance capabilities will be open to sanction risks potentially running into the billions of dollars.
Digital provenance is not a theoretical concept for us — it is the practical outcome of verifiable execution, accountability, and traceability across real-world processes. As execution scales, the relevance of utility-based access and participation mechanisms will scale with it. We have built the tools, knowledge, network, partners, and token infrastructure to support exactly that. Welcome 2026!
